Training Appartments
In late 2012 CMSA launched new initiative of Training Appartments. Six appartments scattered in Ursus district are hired from private owners by the Mission and further sublet to people who are awaining for communal appartments administered by the Municipality of Warsaw. Most of them are former clients of the St. Lazarus Boarding House who manage to control their (alcohol) dependancies and have stable employment. They are supported by social worker and pshychologist/psychoterapist/labour therapist who visit them on regular basis. Inhabitatns pay the rent and ongoing costs by themselves while Mission takes over only when gap occurs (one or few inhabitatns leave the appartment). Appartments are shared but inhabitants have individual rooms unless they are a couple. Program has an ongoing evaluation.
